The 64th Annual American Royal ProRodeo comes to Kansas City in Hale Area Friday Sept. 27 and Saturday Sept. 28. Prior to the rodeo there will be the Miss Rodeo Missouri pageant. Contestants will compete in speaking and modeling with the winner announced Saturday night. Before each rodeo performance there will be a family fun festival including face painting, roping, mechanical bull and a petting zoo. The nightly rodeo will include bull riding, bareback riding, team roping and barrel racing. After the rodeo on Friday night the Outlaw Junkies will play and on Saturday Edge of Forever.
The Overland Park Fall Festival is on Saturday Sept. 28 in the downtown district of Overland Park, Kan. The festival will include a fun run, parade, craft fair and concerts. Entertainment will include the Overland Park Civic Band, Dixie Doodlers, Jim Crosgrove and the Hiccups and the 3 Amigos among others. There will be food and beverage available.
Several sporting events will be held in Kansas City this weekend: The Kansas City Chiefs take on the New York Giants on Sunday, Sporting Kansas City plays Philadelphia on Friday night, The Kansas City Magic All-Star Celebrity Basketball Game and the Double Ogg Dare Festival Family Adventure and Challenge will be held on Sunday.

Davey’s Uptown Ramblers Club
Davey’s Uptown Ramblers Club is located just south of downtown at 3402 Main in Kansas City. Friday night the club will present Mike Bogia and the Problems, Bright Giant and Jake Stanton and the Outback Jake House at 9 p.m. Saturday night at 9 p.m. the club features on the main stage Federation of Horse Power, Ese and Red Kate.
Kellys Westport Inn
Kelly’s Westport Inn located at 500 Westport Road, in the Westport Entertainment District, will feature on stage the Lost Wax at 10 p.m. At 10 p.m. on Saturday night Wonderfuzz take the stage. Kelly’s Westport Inn has an outdoor dining and drinking area located on the roof-top of the business.
The RecordBar is located at 1020 Westport Road in the Westport Entertainment District. On Friday night at 6 p.m. the club features the Doo Dads. At 10 p.m. Sobriquet, Knife Crime and Field Day Dreams take the stage. Saturday night at 7 p.m. the club features Riptide. At 10 p.m. Be/Non, Schwervon and Standy Anchors take the stage.
The Riot Room
The Riot Room is located just north of Westport Road at 4048 Broadway in the Westport Entertainment District. On Friday night at 8 p.m. the club features Scar the Martyr, Eyes Set to Kill, In the Shadow and Sibyl. Saturday at 8 p.m. the club presents the Landmark Concert Series Part One: The Popper.
Uptown Arts Bar
The Uptown Arts Bar is located at Valentine and Broadway near the Uptown Theater. The bar is a celebration of the performing arts in the Kansas City area. On Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. the club will feature Life drawing session with September artists. At 9 p.m. Juxtapose with DJ House and Techno with Todd Howard. On Saturday night at 9 p.m. they will feature live music with Howard Iceberg and Brandon Phillips.
