That, which had previously been ‘tragic and devastating news,’ has become the ‘norm.’ Remembering the first school shootings that were on national news…. Thinking of the length of time we heard the stories on the news; the talk; the tears; the nation in unbelief. However, now it appears that the things that were uncommon, have become common. That, which was unheard of, has become the ‘norm.’
That, which in times past made us angry and amazed, has become expected and accepted. This nation, and world, has become so evil, wicked, unholy and rebellious, that we should not be surprised at the brokenness; economic loss; destruction of family and the inability to be amazed any longer, at the tragedies and disasters all around us. That, which was unheard of, has become the ‘norm.’
The Bible speaks of perilous times, in 2 Timothy 3. Perilous means dangerous; unsafe; risky; death-defying; and extreme. We are HERE. We can no longer act like we are unaware of the shift in this nation; our communities and the family unit. If we pretend that we have not noticed, then we are making a decision to sit back, as part of the evil problem, instead of standing up as part of the Godly solution. That, which was unheard of, has become the ‘norm.’
People of GOD, you are being called by the Commander-In-Chief, GOD HIMSELF. HE is calling for a people who will stand and not be ashamed; who will not accept evil as the standard; but will demand change and proclaim truth! GOD is calling for the true believers, who are willing to suffer for CHRIST’S sake, and Unwilling to turn back and give in. That, which was unheard of, has become the ‘norm.’
We cannot stand by as ill-equipped; untrained; unqualified; naïve; ignorant; uninformed; unconscious; unfaithful soldiers. We are called to armor-up and use our spiritual weapons, for this spiritual warfare. We have the power of the Holy Spirit; the Word of GOD, which is our sword; prayer and praise, which are weapons of mass destruction. What is our excuse for allowing evil to become the ‘norm’, and holy to appear unachievable?
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
