Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe, talked with Bravo’s Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” following the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” season 5 finale. RadarOnline had a recap Sept. 30 of the interview both Giudices attended Sunday night.
To sum up what Teresa and Joe said, they’re keeping their chins up and insist they’re not guilty in any of the 39-count indictment charges they’re faced with that involve bank fraud, loan fraud, tax fraud, and other financial violations from alleged false information they provided to the Federal government.
“We’re good people. I don’t know why it’s happening to us,” Teresa told Andy.
When the couple were asked if they would have Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga and his wife, Melissa, raise their kids if they go to prison, they said no. Joe said the kids likely would go with his brother and sister. He doesn’t think the children would want to be with Joe and Melissa after hearing some of the things they said about them on “RHONJ.”
Teresa said she has sleepless, restless nights, but has not had any nightmares about going to jail. She maintains a strong position and said it’s vital she be that for her family.
“I’m the rock for this family,” Teresa said. “I can’t break down.”
Joe said they’ve never lived a more extravagant lifestyle than they can afford.
“We’ve never lived beyond our means. I’m a businessman. I make money,” Joe said.
Joe made a good point about Teresa or any other television personality having a vast wardrobe.
“You can’t be on a show and wear the same thing twice,” he said.
All in all, the Giudices deny being irresponsible with their money and say they aren’t dwelling on the “what ifs” over being convicted of the many charges filed against them.
Joe and Teresa Giudice are set to go to trial next February.
