Pre-school Classes (Ages 3-5)
10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
A child’s imagination is a wonderful thing. Through the use of puppetry, voice, storytelling, games and movement children create characters right out of the air to tell a story. This allows each child’s creativity to expand while teaching listening skills, teamwork, self-confidence and constructive play.
Kids (Ages 6-10)
10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Improvisation is a method to learn to think on your feet. Students are taught to develop creativity through a series of improvisational games and techniques and in turn learn to communicate through created conversation, scenes and characters.
Moving is Creating
Through the magic of non-verbal communication, students create characters and scenes. This imagination fed course is designed to open new worlds to the students.
By using puppetry, masks, theater games and storytelling, students work as a team taking full advantage of the creative process. Students are encouraged to be imaginative as well as confident.
Early Teens (Ages 11-14)
10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
The Art of Moving
Using movement, students learn how to use their bodies to tell a story while finding a sense of play in the exercise and a purpose in their stage movement.
Working as a creative troupe, students use games, exercises, puppets and characters to tell a story. Confidence raises as individuals learn to work within the group structure.
Improv: A Sense of Play
Through the tool of improvisation, students develop characters, learn cooperative stage work and the joy of gifting of them better scenes for the betterment of the troupe.
