The Capital Region will be sandwiched between two weather systems today. A weakening frontal system to our west will bring some increase in cloud cover later today. Meanwhile, an ocean storm over the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean will churn north and east into the Canadian Maritimes through the day today. Skies should become mostly clear tonight, as high pressure rebuilds into the region.
Another string of fair, and increasingly mild, weather is in the offing for the bulk of the work week. A low pressure system will develop over the center of the nation and lift northward through the upper Great Lakes on Friday, dragging a warm front through the area. This looks to be followed by a cold front on Saturday, with cooler weather returning to close out next weekend.
