The next generation receives its inheritance from parents, grandparents, etc. Families have been known to pass along heirlooms for several generations. Houses, land, china sets, clothing like wedding gowns, etc. are given to sons and daughters. Facial features and hair color are inherited as well. Sometimes good health or even bad health is connected to heredity. People are born with qualities that are generational. Good looks, smart brains, and even sports ability can be traced back to someone in the family line. Mothers and fathers look at how their offspring resemble them. Most parents have high hopes for their children.
God had high hopes for mankind as He placed them in the garden. However, mankind failed by disobeying Him. They had sinned. Adam and Eve instituted a generational quality called sin. The Psalmists David wrote, “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”(Psalm 51:5) Every person no matter how they meet society’s expectation of behavior has sinned.
This means that there is no one who is good or right before God. The Holy Bible states, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) God, the Father, would not leave mankind in its sinful state. God’s wisdom responded by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus to save everyone from sin. Sin causes death. Thank you God for taking away the penalty through Your own blood.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.”(Romans 6:23)
All Have Sinned!
Every person is part of Club Sin! It is an inheritance that has been passed down since Adam and Eve. It incurable by humans.
“Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”(Psalm 51:5)
Sin results in death. ““For the wages of sin is death, ….”(Romans 6:23a)
Every person faces death. The question is how to get prepared for it and answer the question of where to spend eternity.
God, the Father Wants Sinners!
God, the Father wants sinners to come to Him through His only Son, Jesus. God loves and wants no one to spend eternity without Him.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
“But the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.”(Romans 6:23b)
