Whether you come by land or sea, the Sausalito Art Festival is the place to be this Labor Day weekend. Art lovers, music fans, families and anyone who enjoys being outdoors in a beautiful setting on the Sausalito waterfront will find plenty to enjoy. World-class painting, sculpture, jewelry, photography and mixed media are all on display. Art exhibits from around the world promise attendees the opportunity to meet the artists and bring home a one-of-a-kind treasure from this annual festival that has been ranked one of the best shows in the country. Here’s a partial line-up of what to expect.
Art: More than 250 of the world’s best artists will be set up in individual white tents on Sausalito’s glorious waterfront. Painters, sculptors, jewelers, photographers, all will be on hand to showcase their work.
Here from Sausalito’s sister city, Vina del Mar, Chile, masterpiece painter German von Appen will be exhibiting his award-winning work in Booth #412. Be sure and stop by to welcome the artist and enjoy his vibrant paintings.
Music: Continuous live music on two stages with an incredible line-up of entertainment. Catch world-renowned Lisa Marie Presley, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Fab Four, The Ultimate Tribute, Tainted Love and the Dani Paige Band.. On a separate stage, the Children’s’ Entertainment Area offers live music, magicians, circus performers, face painting and hands-on arts and crafts all day, every day of the festival.
Food and Wine: Be sure and sample some of the great international and local foods accompanied by wines from some of the area’s most noted vineyards: Francis Ford Coppola, Gloria Ferrar, Moet Chandon and Rutherford Ranch, among others.
