When I walked into Blaine’s Dallas hair salon in Uptown Dallas, I was struck by how welcoming the front desk staff were. The next thing that caught my attention was the creative design of the interior décor in the 2500 square foot space. I immediately understood why my hair guru Brandon Waggoner chose to leave his previous salon and begin working at Blaine’s.
I have followed Brandon Waggoner to each salon he has worked at for the last 4 years. When you find an excellent hairdresser like Brandon that listens to you about what hair style and color you want, and then delivers that beyond your expectations, you don’t want to lose them. It helps that the salon I followed him to is filled with a friendly staff and that before I even sat down they offered me a choice of drinks from bottled water and soda, to beer and champagne. A person could get use to that treatment.

Owner and Creative Director Blaine Schlaudt has nearly 30 years in the hair care industry and is well known in the Dallas area. He has appeared on a number of news programs to demonstrate how a hair makeover is done. He and his wife Sharon opened Blaine’s Dallas in August 2013, and have turned it into a full service salon. Beyond offering excellent hair care, Blaine’s Dallas also provides facials, makeup, waxing, and tanning. You can spend a day being pampered there.
Brandon Waggoner has been in the hair industry for 23 years and has primarily worked in Hollywood and Dallas. He specializes in corrective hair color and extensions. In addition to his regular duties as a hairstylist, he is now teaching classes to other hairstylists on how to use the Klix brand hair extensions. Klix sought Brandon out to use their products and teach others how to use them as well. The extensions start at $850, but they last from 6 to 10 months and do not require heat or glue.
Brandon and his father, longtime Hollywood hairstylist to the stars Larry Waggoner, teamed up with their friend Brandon Rabideau to collaborate on a hair care product line called Hair Outlaws. Rabideau is also a hairstylist at Blaine’s. The three partners are planning on bringing their product line to the market in the next two years. Brandon Waggoner said, “We plan to bring high end products that are really cool but affordable to the general public.”
I asked Brandon if he was enjoying working at Blaine’s Dallas and he told me, “I really love working here with Blaine and Sharon. The staff is warm and friendly, so it was an easy decision to set up shop here and I’m glad to be a part of the team.” Though I would follow Brandon to a hole in the wall to get my hair done by him, I’m glad I don’t have to. I enjoyed my entire experience at Blaine’s and as usual I was thrilled with the cut, color, and style that Brandon gave me. I’d recommend that you give Blaine’s Dallas a call and get your own day of pampering.
