The Oakland Raiders are up against the struggling Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and will try to get two victories in a row in Oakland. If the Raiders win the game, the Eagles will be 0-4 against the AFC West division.
The Eagles, so far, have a 3-5 record and seemed to be in trouble since their starting quarterback Michael Vick is out with a hamstring until after the bye week. Also, in the last two games, the Eagles could not score more than 10 points, home games too!
The Eagles’ Offense
Well, the offense is struggling like crazy. With Vick out, the Eagles are having problems scoring, only ten points in the last two games. That is not good considering that they were playing at home. Additionally, with the revamped Oakland Raiders’ defense, the Philadelphia Eagles are going to struggle offensively in Oakland.
The Raiders’ defense is on a roll and will most likely take advantage of back up quarterback Nick Foles since Matt Barkley had a bad performance against a weak New York Giants defense last weekend. In the end, running back LeSean McCoy is going to have to step it up for the Eagles since the Raiders have a bit of a problem stopping the run.
The Eagles’ Defense
The same can be said about the defense. They do have a decent amount of sacks with Fletcher Cox and Connor Barwin leading the way, each with three sacks, but Terrelle Pryor will be too elusive for them.
Also, the Eagles defense is ranked in 22nd place overall. The only good thing is their secondary which has eight interceptions, non returned for a touchdown. The Eagles’ secondary could give Pryor some trouble since the Raiders’ receivers have been a bit shaky lately.
The Oakland Raiders should take the victory at home against the Philadelphia Eagles who are trying to rebuild themselves and who are having major problems with the AFC West teams. If Pryor and the Raiders do things right, the win should come and give the team a .500 percentage in the AFC West division.
