Cincinnati’s premier boutique, Pretty Penguin Studios, will present the highly anticipated “Le Mode Avant” fashion show today, August 31. Tickets available at the door for $15, show begins at 1:30 p.m., with VIP tickets available for $25. Early bird tickets are available online. Pretty Penguin Studios has teamed up with FashionCincy.com, R. Ewer Designs, and Tara Hasselbeck Jewelry, to deliver fashion forward, original designs at competitive prices. The Le Mode Avant fashion show will take place at KAZE OTR, 1400 Vine Street.
The new downtown-based “personal touch” boutique offers makeup, hair styling, wardrobe consulting, and photography services. CincyChic spoke with owner of Pretty Penguin Studios, Angelo Culvert, who received his fashion design and product development degree after years in the hair and makeup industry, interning with GQ, and pursuing photography as a hobby. Culvert told CincyChic,
We carry all sizes and are here to style you. Not only do we make some of our own clothing, but we will do custom designs for customers. We’re working on becoming a fashion house and we want to offer everything that is fashion.
CincyChic reports the Le Mode Avant fashion show will feature Culvert‘s original designs and the corresponding trunk show will feature several local artists such as L’BAE, Fiberge, Portia Renee E-Boutique, FennoFashion, and Caledonia Chic Designs, and Vonnetta McColgan. Don’t miss this three part event that also comes with performances by Jess Lamb and a local DJ. There will be finger foods and a cash bar available. There will also be swag bags for the first 100 guests, raffles, a photography booth, and much more. This is an amazing opportunity to support local designers, artists, and other talent, according to Eventbrite.
