On Saturday, September 21, there will be a Pet Parade sponsored by the Patchogue Congregational Church in conjunction with TD Bank, the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, the Healing Haven Animal Fund, King Kullen and other organizations. Proceeds from the parade will go to the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Pet owners can register starting at 9 a.m. in the Oak Street parking lot behind the Patchogue Congregational Church. The Pet Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. and proceed west on Main Street to North Ocean Avenue, then loop back on Main Street to Maple Avenue and then to the parking lot behind the Congregational Church.
Click here for a registration form; the registration fee for the Pet Parade is $8. All pets will receive a bag full of goodies. There will also be a contest with prizes for pets dressed in costumes. The registration form is also for businesses that wish to sponsor the event, vendors looking to purchase tables, and those wishing to make monetary donations or contribute items for the pet goodie bags.
