Obama approval rating numbers are even lower than they were at the beginning of October. New President Obama approval rating numbers have been directly affected by the failure of the Affordable Health Care web site, but also because many people are finding themselves without health insurance. According to a report from Friday (Oct. 31), he has hit a low of 42 percent of people supporting him. 51 percent now disapprove of the job he is doing.

These numbers are pretty bad for the president and the disapproval percentage ties for an all-time high. It seems, though, that the poll isn’t ready to blame just one action or event on why the president is losing so much support. In fact, NBC News claims that it’s a mixture of, “allegations of spying by the National Security Agency, the debate over Syria’s chemical weapons, the government shutdown and now intense scrutiny over the problems associated with the health care law’s federal website.”
Public frustration doesn’t seem to be subsiding at all, suggesting that it’s possible for the Obama approval ratings to get even worse before or if they start to climb again. It’s a bad position to be in right now, but the president seems to be trying to get in front of all of these issues rather than hide in the White House. Maybe that is why he has still been able to retain that 42 percent for so long.
