Saturday’s NCAA football 2013 slate has Temple vs Notre Dame live stream and the best odds and predictions for this TV game can be found here.
Opening kickoff for this nationally televised contest is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EDT (2:30 p.m. CDT) and it’ll be broadcast live on (big) NBC. Temple vs Notre Dame live stream feed can also be found at NBC Sports Live Extra.
Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind., will be the site for what NCAA football 2013 oddsmakers predict will be a rout by the home team.
According to the latest NCAA football 2013 odds, Notre Dame will have to win this game by a minimum of thirty points [-29½] to yield a win over a Temple team that’ll enjoy a massive [+29½] cushion.
Temple Owls: After a disastrous 4-7 (2-5 Big East) season, Temple will have a legitimate chance to make many of their wagering fans’ week, simply by going into South Bend and avoid being blown out by a wide margin.
The outcome of this live stream game is going to come down to how well the Owls’ attack can perform against the stoic Irish’s resistance. However, putting points on the board against this ND defense will prove to be a daunting task.
In 11 games last season, Temple’s offense ranked 107th among all FSB teams. In 689 plays, they tallied just 3,542 total yards for an anemic 5.14 yards-per-play average and a low 322 total yards per game.
It’s no secret that this team relies heavily on its running game to move the sticks, and last year was a perfect example of that.
Combine that with the fact that they will not have the services of their top two rushers from a year ago (Montel Harris and Matt Brown), and there are plenty of question marks heading into 2013 offensively.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish (No.14): ND comes into this season with very high expectations following an appearance in the BCS National Championship Game.
However, with starting quarterback Everett Golson suspended due to academic issues, things could get interesting in the Irish’s home opener.
Last year, Notre Dame’s defense ranked seventh in the nation, surrendering just 4.78 yards per play and 3,971 total yards thru 13 games.
Even with 2012 Heisman Trophy finalist Manti Te’o gone, there’s no doubt Brian Kelly will rely on them to pitch a shutout against the offensively-challenged unit of the Owls today.
Offensively it’s a different story, however, as Golson’s suspension minimizes QB mobility against the Owls’ pass-rush.
Coach Kelly will turn to experienced backup Tommy Rees to lead a Notre Dame offense that ranked 54th in the NCAA last season (894 plays, 5358 yards, 38 TDs) and lost its top two rushers.
NCAA football 2013 Predictions: The general consensus among the betting population dictates that 57 percent of the ATS action is for Temple to cover, while 43 percent lean towards Notre Dame at home. While the Irish’s defense is sure to old serve, Temple’s cushion may simply be too large to overcome offensively with Golson sidelined.
Temple Owls ATS trends:
- Owls are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games on grass.
- Owls are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 games in August.
- Over is 8-0 in Owls last 8 vs. INDEP.
