On last night’s episode of “Modern Dads,” titled “Home Wreckers, begins, the dads are at Rick’s home, enjoying watching his twin babies wrestle. One would think it is a professional match, as the dads snap pictures and cheer on their favorite, but it is just babies playing together and young at heart fathers having a great time.
Nathan is paranoid that one-year-old Cormac is going to get hurt in the house and decides against his wife’s suggestion to have a professional come in to baby-proof the place. So off to see Rick, the veteran father for advice. The first thing Nathan sees is a mess of toys all over the floor. Rick believes that by using them as a distraction, they will not be interested in the dangerous stuff that lies all around. The duct tape on the electrical outlet appalls Nathan, who rips it off and proves that they can wrap it around their face and suffocate. Pipe insulation that Rick found from a construction site provided the bumpers around the coffee table that were also applied with duct tape. For the final solution, Rick equipped one of the twins with a helmet. She was happy, but Nathan and Sean were ready to run and get a book about child-proofing and ignore Rick’s lame suggestions.
At the book store, Stone joined the two guys, leaving Rick to his own devices. The conversation switched to breast milk and if Nathan had ever tried it. Stone definitely did, but he tried it after it was refrigerated, not straight from the source. As the two guys went to the baby books, Stone was spotted flirting with a woman in the store. The guys noticed she had a ring on, but Stone totally did not see it. As they left the store, Sean called back to the staff, that he was good-looking too, not just Stone. The guys agree, when Danica grows up and a guy like Stone comes calling on her; it should be very interesting.
The three guys started talking about Stone’s encounter at the bookstore, when he showed up. Everyone but Stone knows she is married, but she has been sexting him since.
Stone met with his friend Cherie for their kid’s play date. As they talked, he told her about meeting the woman at the bookstore. He told her that she has been texting him, and she wants to know what the texts are about, so she can make an honest assessment. Cherie is married, and she told him to pursue her even though he is not sure if she is married or not. He felt that by her telling him this, he got a green light; unless she really is married.
Nathan got the book, and Sean is helping him shop for supplies to do the home-proofing. They did a pretty good job securing the obvious. They installed gates, bumpers, a locking toilet seat and pretty much all else where danger lies. Nathan knows that Rick is a duct tape and bubble wrap kind of guy, but he wants more for Cormac. Then he got a text that Rick is on his way with the twins. Now the house is secure, but just not from Rick.
Stone is looking for his texting partner, when he walks in, and she is not facing the door. When he spots her hand, there is surely a wedding ring on it, and he walks out the door before she sees him. As he is walking toward his car, a gorgeous blonde says hello and strikes up a conversation with him. No wonder the other guys are jealous.
Back at Nathan’s house, Rick had to use the bathroom and came out with the device that he removed from the toilet. He told him to put it away and keep people from pissing in his shower. Sean admitted he peed in the sink because he could not open the toilet either.
As the guys sat around while the kids played, the bumper around the fireplace came off as Cormac was attempting to reapply it on this episode of “Modern Dads.”
