Last minute Halloween costumes:
Stick figure Halloween costume: This is great for the kids who will walk along the streets tonight, and even better for the adults who want to take the spotlight! You will need black tights or black sweat pants, either will do. You will need a black hoodie for the top of your costume.
Pick up a pack of 50- light sticks at your nearest party store, Five Below sells this for $5. The price is about the same at Kmart, Walmart and the big name party stores.
Using a hot-glue gun, glue them down the sleeves and pant legs of your clothes, so it makes an outline of a stick figure. Next glue the light sticks around the hood opening of the sweat shirt.
Make sure the light sticks touch end to end to make a continuous line for a perfect stick figure. Follow the line of light sticks and put one down the top of each shoe to be worn with the costume.
Right before it is time to leave, activate the light sticks carefully, so you do not pull them off the clothes. There you have it, a homemade stick figure.
Zombie: Slash some old clothes and make them look dirty with magic markers. Mix flour and water to make a paste the consistency of gravy and rub it through your hair to make it look, old, dull and messy. Use white face paint to make your face pale and put black face paint under your eyes and cheek bones. Mix corn syrup with red food coloring for the blood and drip it all over your face and clothes. You’ve just turned into a quick, but scary-looking zombie.
Fifty Shades of Gray: Stop at a hardware or paint store and get 50 shades of gray paint sample cards, which are free. Cut them out and use a glue gun to glue them in rows across a black sweat shirt. When someone asks you what are, point to the fifty shades of gray!
“Breaking Bad:” Dress up as Walter White and Jesse for your last minute Halloween costume. Stop at a hardware store and pick up the one piece disposable plastic yellow jumpsuit that the two wore while cooking up their product. Pick up a mouth mask, all you need is the type that cost about $1, which is used when sanding floors or when working around dust.
