Breaking News –
From Scott Wilson and Dawn Foreman: “One of our artists, Spencer Elliott, had a horrible car wreck and hit a gas line. He was dragged unhurt from his truck which caught fire and completely burned with all his bands gear inside it. We are setting up a donation box at the Blowout for him in addition to donating all proceeds from a raffle for a large grill which is on a trailer to haul behind a truck or car. Our bands playing the Million Barrel Blowout are also contributing.
Spencer is playing the Blowout in spite of his nearly fatal accident and we encourage everyone to pitch in to help recoup losses. His insurance is not going to cover anything he lost besides his vehicle. Keep Red Dirt alive and support your local artist!“

Next: The Million Barrel Blowout creators and artists pay honor to an historical Texas treasure, the Million Barrel Tank…
Mike Stanley Band
The lyrics and music of MSB leans more towards a Blue’s Rock sound with a twist of Texas country thrown in the mix somewhere. The band is known for their upbeat and energetic performances where they put on a show that consists of mostly original songs that members of the band wrote and co/wrote together with a few crowd pleasing covers sprinkled in. But, no matter what song they are performing, they always make it their own. The Mike Stanley Band has performed with Texas country acts such as Mike McClure, Kyle Park, Aaron Watson, No Justice, 6 Market Blvd., Kyle Bennett, Clint Levi Band, Champ and the Yokels, and The Tejas Bros. and continues to impress crowds everywhere they perform. The current band formed in November of 2011 and shortly after the first MSB EP was released entitled “Play”.
Ashley Lee, the a beautiful and edgy Country/Rock singer/songwriter says. “I do what I do and I can’t get enough!”
With roots firmly planted in Texas, and performing since she was 5 years old, Ashley has made it her mission to mesmerize and captivate audiences of all ages. From her powerful & unique voice to her guitar skills & stage presence, this fiery young woman proves that size doesn’t determine talent.
Ashley Lee’s richly toned voice is known for resembling Patsy Cline with edges of modern & classic western flair. Influenced by music of all genres, Ashley has created a sound that is unlike any other female artist. Influenced by classic country music, rock n roll and modern pop, she takes a unique approach to everything she writes and performs.
George continues to shape country music in his home state of Texas as well as nationally, ever since searing the charts with the top five hit “Lipstick Promises” and several more Top 40 hits, while earning a reputation as one of the industry’s most distinctive young talents. In the interim, he’s also been cranking out hits for other artists. His songs have been recorded by Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Gary Allan, George Jones, Dixie Chicks, Randy Rogers Band, the Eli Young Band and Sara Evans, who scored a No. 1 hit with Ducas’ “A Real Fine Place to Start.”
Ducas continues to write, record, and tour, having released “Volume Up Windows Down in 2011. The project features the Texas Music Chart hit “Breakin’ Stuff”, which went to #14 on the Texas Music Chart.
Creed Fisher and the Redneck Nation Band
Fisher hails from Odessa, Texas, where his family roots trace back to his granddad, settling in the area back in the fifties and getting involved in the oil game. Playing football since he was ten years old in the very heart of football country, Fisher went on to play for the minor leagues after returning from serving in the armed forces. As his football career came to a close, Fisher also saw his marriage of twelve years come to an end. It is at this point that he decided to do some serious “soul searching” after losing two of the things that he had loved the most. Fisher tells us that the music simply “found him” during this time. He picked up a guitar and never let it go. Friends and fans alike will celebrate as Creed Fisher releases “Down Here In Texas,” his debut single from the “Down Here In Texas” album. There is no denying that Fisher is truly speaking from passion when it comes to his music. Fisher is the guy you meet that you feel like you’ve known all your life and his music feels like the songs you’ve been singing since you first discovered music. His lyrics are comfortable; his story, genuine; his spirit, humble and his talent, undeniable.
Black Dutch Sioux band
Southern Rock and Blues that can’t lose. Vocalist and guitarist of Black Dutch Sioux Ross Shifflett says, “The four of us are from a small town called Graham, TX. We come from all
walks of life. We definitely break the mold. See us and listen for yourself.”
Climbing their way up the Reverbnation charts, they are now at number 5 on the chart! If your expecting smooth sailing with the Black Dutch Sioux’s music, think again. They’re going to rock you with every bit of talent and super energy they’ve got – and they have plenty of that and then some.
When you bring together three ultra- superstar females such as the Texas music trio of Mandi Powell, Presley Lewis and Susan Hickman – you’re in for a blast and “sisters in music rock!” attitude and some of the best vocal blends since the Pistol Annies!
With all three beautiful singer/songwriters like Mandi, Presley and Susan, you’ll wonder why they aren’t already on the top of the charts. In recent months, the girls got together and found they really had that amazing connection and vocals that blended like cream and honey. But don’t that fool you. Each “sister” has a spicy hot spirit to rock you!
