Many of you will be setting off to Las Vegas, this extended Labor Day weekend to get your last dose of partying before the summer season begins to come to a close. But, with so many events and so much talent descending upon Sin City’s desert oasis, it might be hard to choose where to go and who to see.
Here are five events that I recommend you don’t miss, as well as five events you shouldn’t waste your time or money on.
Also, don’t forget to hit up as many pool parties as possible before the dayclub season comes to an end this month.
Don’ Miss:Fedde le Grand at Encore Beach
Encore Beach is easily the most luxurious dayclub in Las Vegas, coupling this premier location with the musically styles of Fedde le Grand makes this event a win!
Skip: Kaskade at Marquee
Kaskade has taken over Marquee and his Summer Lovin’ event has become one of the most overplayed club attractions in Vegas. He will be playing twice over the weekend, both at the day and nightclub, skip both.
Don’t Miss: David Guetta & Deniz Koyu at XS Night Swim
There’s nothing better than a pool party, and a nighttime party…well… it’s not to be missed! XS is an amazing venue, the pool party is off the hook and you get two incredible DJs, make sure to bring your bathing suit!
Skip: Armin van Buuren at Marquee
Every holiday belongs to Armin at Marquee, it’s predictable and boring. Marquee’s Nightclub is also a nightmare when it comes to space and comfort for attendees so this event is a big no go for me.
Don’t Miss: Dimitir Vegas & Like Mike
Two incredibly talented DJ’s at the newest dayclub in Las Vegas is a big win for this Labor Day Weekend. Daylight’s fresh concept, expansive grounds and easy access from the strip are all an addition plus for this event.
Skip: Steve Aoki at Wet Republic
Wet Republic has fallen behind it’s competitors. Both the venue and DJ are old news. This is no way to spend your final day of Labor Day Weekend
Don’t Miss: Moby at Hakkasan
Moby. That’s reason enough to go to any event. The legendary producer/DJ will be spinning at one of the most high-end club on the strip, this is a must for any electronic music fan.
Skip: Diddy at Eclipse
Unless we’ve entered some weird time warp and traveled back a decade or two this is a no. Eclipse is a great nighttime pool party at Daylight, but Diddy? Really? Don’t. Just Don’t
Don’t Miss: Knife Party
A great venue with a bangin’ set by an incredible group, I guarantee this event will be amazing! This is your chance to step away from the mainstream electronic music and see a really great show.
Skip: Calvin Harris at Hakkasan
Yes, Calvin Harris has become bigger than most of the mainstream music acts out there, but the best DJ’s in electronic music aren’t the biggest names. Skip this snooze-fest, save your Hakkasan trip for Moby.
