Boston has been headlining the news quite a bit lately both noble (with the re-opening of the Forum Restaurant following damage endured during the Boston Marathon bombing four months ago) to the notorious (the Yankees beat the Red Sox 9-6 on August 18, despite Boston pitcher Ryan Dempster beaning A-Rod, some think on purpose). One more reason to celebrate Boston? The redesigned Nespresso Boutique on Newbury Street.
New Yorkers are looking for any excuse to get out of town over Labor Day weekend, and doing a mini bar-tour of Beantown, punctuated by tasty espressos isn’t a bad one. Sample a high-octane Brew Dog (they of the Squirrel Beer koozy) at Scottish-themed The Haven (2 Perkins St, Jamaica Plain), then head on over to The Hawthorne (500A Commonwealth Ave) or Drink (348 Congress St) for some of the best craft cocktails in the city.
When you’re ready for caffeine and maybe a pastry or light lunch, swing over to the newly redesigned Nespresso Boutique either to savor an espresso or coffee, or to pick up pods for your home machine. You can also review all the latest machines including the Nespresso U (quick one-touch buttons and automatic coffee loading!), the Pixie (small and fits anywhere!) or the Gran Maestria (sooo many controls and an attached foamer!).
The 2,400-square-foot space, located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, features a modernist design complementing the neighborhood’s 19th century architecture and upscale shopping. Mocha and caramel toned furnishings provide ample seating while wall displays offer up the brand’s range of machines, dishware and, of course, coffees. As with the boutiques in NYC, Miami and San Francisco, the Boston Boutique is designed to reflect its neighborhood and its city while staying within the brand’s aesthetic.
The Boston Nespresso Boutique is located at 7 Newbury Street.
