It’s a wonder who needs the diapers more – North West, or her father, Kanye?
It looks like the Chicago MC, who has had, to say the least, a very rocky relationship with the media, doesn’t like being made fun of at all.
A mere three years after getting into it with the cast of Saturday Night Live over a spoof they made about his erratic behavior, Mr. West has set his sights on Jimmy Kimmel after the comedian and talk-show host created a spoof of Kanye’s BBC Radio 1 interview, which featured two bratty African-American boys playing the role of Kanye. This signified to West that he was seen my Kimmel as immature and egocentric.
Here is West during the real interview, according to the New York Daily News:
“Rap is the new rock n’ roll. We the new rock stars, and I’m the biggest of all of them. I’m the No. 1 rock star on the planet.”
But at least he somewhat nodded to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
“I would not be Kanye West if it wasn’t for Michael Jackson. I was able to ascend to massive heights. And I’ve got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling, as a creative person, as a celebrity and I’ve been at it for 10 years. I look around and I say, ‘Wait a minute, there’s no one around here in that looks like me. And if they are, they’re quiet as f–k.’ So that means, wait a second now, we’re seriously in a civil rights movement.”
But then Yeezus saw the sketch. All…. hell…. broke…. loose.
Here’s the G.O.O.D. Music founder and head on Twitter, going in on Kimmel and giving a nod to his ex-girlfriend, Sarah Silverman:
“Jimmy Kimmel is out of line to try and spoof in any way the first piece of honest media in years. I don’t take it as a joke … You don’t have scumbags hopping over fences trying to take pictures of your daughter. Jimmy Kimmel, put yourself in my shoes….. SARAH SILVERMAN IS A THOUSAND TIMES FUNNIER THAN YOU AND THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS IT!!!”
That was only half of his tirade, in which he also called Kimmel a “manipulative media motherf**ker.”
Kimmel, on his show airing on September 26, spoke on the feud:
“It’s been a weird — quick question, did anyone else get a very angry phone call from Kanye West about an hour and a half ago? Kanye West called me about an hour – hour and a half ago in my office. He is very angry because of a bit we aired this week. He gave an interview to the BBC – and we had a kid actor – take the words and reenact it. He said a lot of things. He told me I had two choices – #1 Apologize publicly. And that was really the only choice – the other choice he gave was “my life…your life is going to be much better if I apologize. And then he started tweeting today. And I don’t even know if I’ve seen some of these because they’re happening as we speak.”
Kimmel did pick the wrong battle this time, because it appears that West has run out of patience. However, the boasting begs to be made fun of, as have a great number of West’s antics in the past.
Kimmel, pick your spots. West, calm down and lighten up.
