Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has always been about protecting his family, but a current, escalating feud with Julian Jerome (William deVry) may put his family right in the line of fire. On the October 29 episode of “General Hospital”, Morgan (Bryan Craig) was set on proving his loyalty to Julian, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) tried to convince Sonny to proceed with caution when dealing with the Jeromes and a custody battle was set in motion.
Sonny has faced many enemies in his line of work, but the one person that may be able to take him down could be his own son. Morgan is using his current hate of his father as motivation to bring him down by siding with the Jeromes. Morgan is determined but it could also be a ploy to stop Julian for killing him. He does have Ava (Maura West) protecting him but even she can’t stop her brother from taking care of Morgan if he proves not to be loyal. On Tuesday, Julian went to Ava’s penthouse to talk to Morgan to make sure the kid is loyal to him. Morgan told Julian that he was more than loyal and wants to help Julian take down his father because he hates him and that Sonny has proved once again that he will always chose Michael over him. Julian, however, was still not convinced and told Morgan to prove that he is willing to go after his father.
In the meantime, there are others besides Sonny and Morgan who are figuring out the Jeromes. Julian told Ava that Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has connected Julian as Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) father and is not sure how Alexis obtained the DNA to prove it. In New York, Silas (Michael Easton) and Sam were able to get the truth out of Delia Ryan (Ilene Kristen) who admitted to dating Victor Jerome and giving birth to Ava and gave her up for adoption. They were able to get her to fess up by mentioning her granddaughter Kiki (Kristen Alderson). After telling Delia a little about Kiki, Silas told her that he was Kiki’s father and he just recently found out. Delia was surprised and felt she could’ve raised Ava better. She also told Sam to watch out for the Jeromes.
Olivia doesn’t like the fact that Sonny wants to eliminate Julian Jerome. She begs him not to put himself and his family in the line of fire and wants Sonny to sit down and talk to Julian. Sonny thinks the idea is crazy because a man like Julian is not going to sit down and have a friendly conversation especially after blowing up Sonny’s shipments. Olivia then suggests that Sonny asks Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) for help because she thinks Dante may be able to get help from the WSB. Getting Dante involved will lead to another one of Sonny’s kids being involved in this feud with Julian.
But, Dante has his mind on something more important. He is worried about losing baby Connie as Lulu (Emme Rylan) was told that there was not a good chance that they could keep the baby, therefore, she was read and prepare to take the baby and run. Lulu doesn’t want to take the chance of losing Connie and is prepared to run and live their lives as fugitives even after Dante told her how it would affect Connie. Luckily, they don’t have to go on the run because Alexis showed up just in time to tell them that the court did turn down Maxie’s (Kirsten Storm) court order and now they will have to be set on proving that Maxie is an unfit mother.
The news didn’t set well with Maxie as her and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) prepared the nursery in anticipation of their daughter being given to them. Diane told Maxie that there will be a custody suit and that Lulu is out to prove that Maxie is an unfit mother. Maxie is devastated by the news and can’t believe her best friend will do something like that. Spinelli reminded her that Dante and Lulu want their baby as much as they do. Maxie then went over to Dante and Lulu’s apartment to confront Lulu.
Elsewhere in Port Charles, Michael (Chad Duell) prepared a nice dinner at the restaurant for Kiki. He told her about his new job and they also both celebrated her divorce from Morgan, which now makes her a free woman.
