Google Calendar is helpful in staying organized. It allows users to color code events or appointments. It also allows for the creation of several different calendars. For example, users can have a calendar for work, a calendar for personal events, a calendar for tasks and a calendar for holidays. Family members can each have a different calendar and share it with each other.
Google Calendar has several neat features such as being able to attach documents or images, inviting guests and showing a guest list and adding a video call. Google Calendar syncs with smartphone apps including the Google Calendar app.
Google Drive is a handy tool to create, store and access files anywhere by logging into a Google account. These files can also be accessed from a smartphone.
Files can be private, public or shared with specific people. One of the neatest features is that multiple people can log in and work on a document at the same time. They can see each other typing. Everything is saved in real-time and the document does not need to be uploaded every time changes are made.
Many people use Google Drive as the backup to all the files on their computer.
An add-on to Google Drive is Google Keep, which allows users to take notes or type reminders. This is a great tool to use to maintain shopping lists and to-do lists.
Whether it’s for a business, an event or a personal resume, Google Sites is a great way to share things with others. Users can build their own websites to promote products, services, events or ideas.
Users can add text, images, videos and presentation slides. Google Sites also allow site owners to add widgets such as calendars and social media.
Speaking of social media, Google+ is a great social media tool that can be used to stay in touch with friends and family, promote a business, network with professionals or work on projects with a team.
Google+ offers a stream similar to Facebook’s News Feed. It also has “Hangouts,” which are like mini chat rooms. Also like Facebook and Twitter, users can follow companies and other people’s pages.
Another feature is “communities,” which allows members to produce private or public groups. These groups can discuss topics, work on projects and share documents and media.
