It is officially Fall. The temperatures have actually dropped a little. (at night) And while we may not have the cool days and colorful leaves to enjoy in Tucson, we have the promise of cooler temperatures to come.
Fall brings warmer, darker colors for clothes and cosmetics. And while Summer is the season for bright vibrant colors, now is the time for red. Yes, red. Nude eyelids, black lashes, and red lips are reminiscent of the 1950’s – retro and cool. Red fingernails add just the right pop of color to an otherwise drab suit. Red toenails add a little spice to those peep-toe shoes you love.
Reds can be tricky. If your skin tone is warm, choose an orange-based red. If your skin tone is cool, choose a blue-based red. If all shades of red look the same to you, stop by a cosmetics counter and try a couple lipsticks. The beauty advisor will be able to tell you what looks best on you.
It’s easy to fall in love with red. And red is so classic it might just seem shocking!
