Where else can you enjoy the sights and sounds of Los Angeles, while also indulging your taste buds with the finest culinary delights the city and country have to offer? Well, at the Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival, of course! The third annual one is taking place August 22-25. You’ll find different events going on all over town, but the epicenter will be along downtown’s Grand Avenue, in the “Heart of Art”, where Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Music Center, Grand Park, and MOCA are all located. The festival’s marquee events will take place along this famed street.
Opening night of the LA Food & Wine Fest kicks off with Giada De Laurentiis’ Festa Italiana on Grand Avenue between 1st and 2nd street. Tickets are $195/$250 for VIP and will feature Giada, along with dozens of Italian culinary experts from across the country. You’re getting the cream of the crop here!
Friday during the day there will be a host of Power Lunch Series taking place at different restaurants across L.A., including L’Ermitage, One Pico, Scarpetta, and more. These top-notch restaurants will feature four-course meals with visiting celebrity chefs and impeccable wines. Tickets are $125.
After that, how about starting your weekend off right with a little Mexican-inspired Happy Hour at The Bungalow at the Fairmont Miramar, while you enjoy the delicious cuisine of Josef Centeno, Ray Garcia, and Rick Bayless, all paired with some hard to find tequilas. Tickets are only $75 for that one.
From there, you can mosey on down to the Asian Night Market hosted by Iron Chef Morimoto, featuring Asian culinary experts from across the country. That will take place along Grand Avenue, where you will be able to enjoy the beautiful summer night strolling down the street indulging in Asian delights prepared by some of the country’s most influential chefs. It doesn’t get any better than that!
That’s until Saturday and Sunday roll around, of course, and you have a host of amazing events to attend all weekend long. Events, such as the like Lexus Grand Tasting, taking place Saturday and Sunday from 12-3 pm, at the L.A. Center Studios Downtown. You’ll get to devour delectable creations from 25 of the weekend’s top celebrity chefs, while enjoying a selection of more than 200 world class wines. Tickets for that are $150. And how about capping off your Saturday night with the Lexus Live on Grand party with a musical performance, celebrating the culmination of the city-wide celebration? It’s also hosted by dashing Chef Curtis Stone, for some added incentive for you ladies. ;)
