In recent years, there has been quite a bit of realignment going on in college football. Examples include West Virginia and TCU joining the Big Twelve Conference, Missouri and Texas A&M joining the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and Colorado and Utah joining the Pac-10 Conference, thus changing it to the Pac-12 Conference.
It would be better for conference to have schools within a certain region. With that in mind, here is how the conferences should be:
Altantic Coast Conference (ACC): Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Duke, Wake Forest, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Florida State, and Miami.
Big East Conference (to be revived): Massachusetts, Boston College, Connecticut, Army, Syracuse, Rutgers, Temple, Penn State, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and Navy.
Big Ten Conference: Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Purdue, Notre Dame, Illinois, Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
Southeastern Conference (SEC): East Division- Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida; West Division- Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi, Mississippi State, LSU, Arkansas.
Conference USA: Marshall, Cincinnati, Louisville, Memphis, East Carolina, Central Florida, South Florida, UAB, Southern Mississippi, and Tulane.
Mid-American Conference (MAC): Ohio Division- Ohio, Bowling Green, Miami-OH, Kent State, Akron, Toledo; Great Lakes Division- Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Ball State, Northern Illinois.
Sun Belt Conference: Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, Georgia State, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Troy, South Alabama, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, and Arkansas State.
Southwest Conference (to be revived): North Division- North Texas, TCU, SMU, Baylor, Texas Tech, UTEP; South Division: Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas-San Antonio, Houston, Rice.
Big Twelve Conference: North Division- Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, Colorado, Colorado State, Air Force; South Division- Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tulsa
Western Athletic Conference (to be revived): Moutain Division- Wyoming, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Utah, Utah State, BYU, Idaho; Pacific Division- Boise State, Nevada, UNLV, San Jose State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Hawaii.
Pacific Ten (Pac-10) Conference: Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, California, Stanford, USC, and UCLA.
