Bon Jovi fans are saddened to get a confirmation on what they have been dreading all along, lead guitarist Richie Sambora is no longer with the band Bon Jovi after a 30-year relationship due to his problems with alcohol according Wednesday, August 28 reports from Radar Online.
The celebrity news site reports that Bon Jovi frontman and CEO Jon Bon Jovi had to make the hard decision and used tough love on his partner and dear friend of 30 years in order to push Richie Sambora to seek help for his alcohol addictions.
As previously reported, Richie Sambora took a leave of absence from the 2013 Bon Jovi “Because We Can” tour just weeks into the new tour back in April citing “personal issues.”
Since his leave several speculated rumors began surfacing as to why Sambora up and left Bon Jovi’s successful tour so suddenly, one n particular citing that Jon and Richie were squabbling over money and respect.
Rumer Fix rstated last week that sources close to the band have exclusively told them that Richie’s beef with Jon Bon Jovi is strictly a cash thing, and one that is not reaching an agreement this year.
Sambora is reported as to making $2 million a month on tour with Bon Jovi plus 20 percent of the profits after each show, while Richie’s stand in Philip “Phil X” Xendis makes $10,000 a month, quite a difference in salary drop from Richie Sambora to Phil X.

Sources close to the Bon Jovi camp claim otherwise have revealed:
“Six weeks ago, he and Richie had a two-hour call to patch things up, but when Jon made it clear that he would not take him back before he went into rehab, it was a deal-breaker.
“Richie had his heart set on being back for the tour dates in New Jersey — the talk did not end well.”
The source also stated that everyone close to Richie Sambora are “very concerned that he continues to drink in excess, despite doctor’s warnings about possible severe — and life threatening — liver damage.”
Bon Jovi’s manager has confirmed Richie Sambora’s departure, saying that “there were a lot of well-documented problems, so this was the best decision for now.”
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones split
The drama between Bon Jovi’s lead singer Jon Bon Jovi and and Richie Sambora has caused quite a Twitter outrage with some lifelong Bon Jovi fans feeling the need to choose either Team Jon or Team Richie, and tweeting to Jon Bon Jovi’s brother Matthew Bongiovi looking for answers.
Matthew was so overwhelmed with question and rude remarks concerning the Bon Jovi/Richie Sambora drama he has since closed his Twitter account.
Hopefully, as in the past Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora will work out their issues and rejoin musical forces, and if the reports of Richie Sambora needing to go to rehab are true, then Richie will one day open his eyes and clearly see that Jon Bon Jovi was a true and loyal friend looking out for the best interest of his band mate, brother and friend.
Do you believe Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi will return to making music together in the future?
