I have used Biore products in the past. I think the last time I used one of Biore’s cleansers was about 10 years ago. I cannot remember the name of it but it was for combination skin. I am always testing out cleansers to eventually find my staple cleanser for my combination/oily skin. So without further ado, meet Biore Combination Skin Balancing cleanser. This product claims:
Got skin that can’t make up its mind? Achieve the clean you want, without disturbing the natural moisture your skin needs. This cleanser removes all forms of impurities while leaving 90% of skin’s natural moisture, giving your face an even, all-over clean.-Biore
This cleanser is a oil-free, non-comedogenic formula in a white/blue pump dispensing packaging. I appreciate cosmetic and skincare products with pump dispensing packaging as it makes it easier to control the amount of product that flows out of the packaging. The appearance of the packaging is neat and it is attracts both teens and adults alike. The size of it is 6.77 fl oz or 200 ml and I paid $5.99 for it, which was on sale at Walgreens. You can find this product at various different drugstores such as CVS, Walgreens, Drugstore.com or your local grocer.
The consistency of the product is in a clear base that lathers to a white foam. The first couple of ingredients in this formula are water and glycerin. These two ingredients works very well with my skin whether it be in cleansers or in moisturizers. There is a faint but pleasant smell to it, but not overpowering as I have experienced in the past with cleansers. Anyway, on the back of this cleanser, it says with continued use, balance will be brought back to the skin. So I tested this product out for a week. I used it twice a day, morning and night. It replaced both my daytime and nighttime cleansers. It has a great lather to it and I found out you should only need a nickel sized amount to cover your face and neck. The first time I used it, I dispensed a little too much and it was a soapy mess. That was my fault.
I was completely surprised that after rinsing, my face felt clean and not stripped. It was not tight and I did not feel any residue left. I tried testing it out to see how well it removed my makeup, but it only removed light foundation and non waterproof eye makeup. It will not remove any long-wearing makeup, at least in my experience. If you wear long-wearing makeup such as 24 hour, transfer-resistant foundation and waterproof eye liner, mascara, just to name a few, then take a separate makeup remover wipe or cleanser that specializes in long wearing makeup removal. Then finish off your washing routine with your normal cleanser. After washing, I continued with my normal skincare routine.
Throughout the week, I noticed that the oil production around my t-zone area was less noticeable than before. I know it was due to the cleanser because that was the only thing I switched up in my routine. After a week of testing this cleanser out, I went back to my other cleanser and just so happen, the oil production was more noticeable than when I was using this cleanser. I am very impressed with this product. If you have combination/oily skin and looking for a cleanser that helps to bring a balance to your skin, then I would recommend this product to try out!
