Six of the 12 weeks in the GHSA 2013 regular season schedule now in the record books and there are four Gwinnett County public high schools that remain undefeated, and two that are still in search of their first W of the season. Archer, Collins Hill, Peachtree Ridge, and North Gwinnett have all been impressive, while Meadowcreek and Parkview have not.
North Gwinnett (4-0, 2-0) did not play this week, but has already earned a win against Norcross (3-2, 2-1) and has an early advantage in the race for the Region 7 AAAAAA title. Archer (5-0, 3-0), Collins Hill (4-0, 2-0) and Peachtree Ridge (5-0, 3-0) all played, as did Meadowcreek (0-4, 0-2) and Parkview (0-5, 0-3).
Archer and Peachtree Ridge stayed home for their wins, the Tigers against Dacula (2-3, 2-1), 31-14, and the Lions against Habersham Central, 49-0. Collins Hill traveled to Lawrenceville and won easily over Mountain View (1-4, 1-2), 42-13.
The Mustangs were home against Duluth (1-4, 1-2) in one of the two games between winless teams, and were hammered by the Wildcats, 34-7. Meadowcreek has now surrendered 180 points in four games (45 PAPG) while scoring only 21 (5 PPG). The Panthers traveled to Snellville for the rivalry game with Brookwood (1-3, 1-1) in the other contest pairing winless teams. Parkview was unable to mount any offensive attack against the Broncos D and left the field with their fifth consecutive loss.
