Affordable Care Act, hmm. . . sounds like a savings plan, but in Washington DC, making something both ‘affordable and caring’ in the same sentence means . . . “The outlaws have come to town with big guns a’ blazing.” Of course, healthcare available to all people creating ‘a potential’ for health and wellness among the fiscally challenged is irreverent! Certainly, no one expects the down-trodden, aged, disabled and already diagnosed to have equal healthcare to the Top 1%. Right?
Well, this is not to fault the Top 1%, because typically they seem to support the Affordable Care Act. At least every member of the Top 1% this Examiner has spoken to say they support it. However, our elected representatives of these United States of America suggest otherwise.
How United Are We?
Apparently, the nation is not as united as we’d like to think it is. With figurative lines being drawn in the sand directly between the White House and the United States Capitol, it appears Washington DC may indeed soon be a ghost-town.
Much like the O.K. Corral, citizens may soon be peering out from behind blinds checking local scenery because a shutdown means no national parks will be available to enjoy while “off work.” No, by shutdown the United States Congress means . . . Stop. Drop. Hang Tight.
That is until the largely Republican Congress deems life is something we can once again entertain. Until they provide the freedom to live again. Until they allow us to enjoy the fruits of “our labor.”
If you live near federal facilities – the rubbish may begin to pile up. The subway could get gnarly. We’ve experienced that before. Of course, this will add to the stink the 113th Congress has already bestowed on our national motherland . . . it does have an eerie ring to it.
Of course, earnings are to be stayed for federal workers, makes sense – the most accommodating and fiscally challenged workers aren’t going to be receiving paychecks, not until Congress returns (yes – Congess will be paid). And, too, contracts will be on hiatus. The federal contractors, some part of the Top 1%, are out to pasture too.
This newest, round of community chest costing at the hands of the apparently Republican treasure, will only result in more debts, lessened productivity, a more worrisome national budget and their perpetual debilitation of the nation. We might ask why, but answers seem at a minimum.
A Time of Peace
What?(&)^%%$ Washington DC is as peaceful as a WWA Smack-down!
In recent years, the United States Congress has consistently seemed unable to bring to bare best decisions for the greater good of our nation and our people. No matter what side of the isle regarding the Affordable Care Act – it was approved long ago (2010 folks). Citizens largely get it, but Congress seems to function apart from constituents. Universally, no matter if they are Top 1% or downtrodden, United States Citizens are in agreement on one topic and that is, “The nation’s leadership are dropping the ball.”
The Redskins are running better end games!
The New Agenda
Throughout the social media people are talking. There’s a new agenda and it is full of affirmations. Positive thinking and forward focus is where the people from Seattle, to San Diego, to Key West, to Modawaska and to Washington DC live and the United States Congress just isn’t evolving.
For the previous seven years, Congress has extended fire drill after fire drill toward us – the citizens. Our collective consciousness has continued to elevate toward higher and higher thinking, while attempting to remove the sallow taint Congress intentionally sheds on our Great Nation, especially Washington DC.
Even the name, Affordable Care Act has been attacked in this ongoing playing field brawl. Activities are reminiscent of a High School flagellation fest. The credo of team spirit is as well-represented today, as it was when jocks carried out primitive rituals, rather than genuinely evoke school pride. The bravado among Congress seems punitive. More and more citizens want to just turn the channel, feeling anywhere else may indeed be the next best place to be. Because if affordable care scares the Greatest Nation in the world and her leaders, we are really in trouble in America.
Presently, if the United States Congress were reflected on as citizens’ parents, they’d best represent as hordes of dysfunctionalism shaming America as a family. And, their children, the “We the People” are their fledgling children acting as individuals rising above it all in spite of the folks poor choices.
Resolution. Eventually, there will be resolution. To the United States Congress resolution means when another inability to reach a consensus on anything of great importance arises, where the fate of the American people comes to bare.
So, what’s next? More of the same – that’s what’s next.
