The CIA’s admission last week of the existence of Area 51 at Groom Lake in Nevada was no surprise to most people.
President Clinton actually alluded to its existence during his administration in a letter of exemption to the Air Force at the Groom Lake facility concerning solid waste involved in a lawsuit against the government which stemmed from the death of a civilian worker from a fire caused by toxic materials on the secret base.
Regardless of the function of the base as either a secret back engineering base of alien technology or simply our own classified aircraft, there has been so much published and so many photos taken by old Soviet Spy Satellites (as well as television documentaries), that the reality of the base has long been accepted by most people.
The government has always denied Area 51’s existence due to the stigma of extraterrestrial involvement associated with it.
The reality however is that that Lockheed Skunk works had long utilized the base for test flights of highly secretive test flights of classified aircraft; such as U-2s and the Stealth fighter and bomber.
The greater question is not whether Area 51 exist or even its purpose but rather why now?
Most people have always accepted its existence, so why the admission now and why by the CIA?
There are at least three reasons for such an admission by our government which the following list describes:
Something sinister is afoot
As of the writing of this article, there can be no other conclusion than the main thing appearing sinister is the impending attack on Syria.
The Obama administration’s less than competent attempt to look tough without any adequate plan of attack is as Senator John McCain says nothing more than a “pin prick” on a very serious situation.
The need to stand against weapons of mass destruction by a rogue nation is of course a great concern; especially when it involves innocent men, women and children,
The fact that the WMDs in this case are chemical weapons which women and children are most sensitive is absolutely inhumane to say the least.
Weeks before the acknowledgement by the CIA that Area fifty one exist, the Obama Administration was emphasizing its “line drawn in the sand”; the President told the media that when the evidence was unequivocal that President Assad of Syria was using chemical weapons on his own people, then the United States would have no choice but to take appropriate action.
Many believe the time for appropriate action has probably come and gone and yet there is limited proof that chemical weapons are being used in Syria or even by which side.
What is certain is Al-Qaida is involved; the rebel side Assad is trying to put down.
As such the Obama administration has possibly been planning for some time an attack against Syria.
In order to take the heat off by his liberal left (which is dead set against war), the release of the acknowledgement of Area fifty one seems to be nothing more than a dangling carrot stick while the more sinister attack on Syria remains nearly certain.
Aliens might actually exist
A second reason for this sudden admission of the existence of Area fifty one is that Extra-terrestrial aliens might actually exist.
It is estimated that over fifty percent of Americans believe in life outside our planet and at least half of those claim to have seen an Unidentified Flying Object.
For our government to come clean or at least start to come clean after more than fifty years of UFO sightings, space exploration and governmental research into UFO’s, it would be no surprise to anyone.
Many Ufologists (those who study UFOs and extraterrestrials) have long felt that our government was holding back knowledge of the existence of extraterrestrial beings and alien technology.
These Ufologists have also held that the government might also gradually release such information to the public on its own timetable; the CIA admission of Area fifty one might be part of such a gradual release.
Many believe that it is also possible that our government is in the process of disclosing some sort of agreement with such beings as to advance or possibly control our civilization.
It is part of a “wag the dog scenario”
The third reason is probably the most logical of reasons for the CIA disclosure of Area fifty one, the proverbial “wag the dog scenario”.
This reasoning goes hand in hand with this writer’s article, “Good night Mr. President” emphasizing the President and his administration are doing everything they can to take the emphasis off the many scandals which continue to arise in Washington and Congressional committees continue to investigate.
It is as the President is arrogantly saying he will do whatever he wants and the way he wants.
If the people appear too concerned with one of these scandals, he simply moves to something else either of great interest to the nation or a special interest group.
The President creates or even exaggerates another matter to distract the public from the more serious and even possibly illegal matters in which he is involved.
This is of course not the first President to utilize such tactics but he appears to be the most blatant of all presidents in such use.
Regardless of the reason, for most citizens the admission of the existence of Area fifty one is at least one step closer to what is known as “full disclosure”; the full disclosure that we are not alone in the universe.
