If you’re anything like me, you love craft shows! These creative metropolises are full of things to “ooh” and “aah” over, garner ideas for your own artistic endeavors, or buy on the spot. Here are 5 shows that you should check our for yourself, great events that you can bring the whole family to.
The Michigan Peach Festival of Romeo
For over 80 years, Romeo has been showing off its peaches. This labor day weekend (it’s going on NOW!!) You can head on up to Romeo to enjoy not only cartons of juicy fresh peaches, but stake out bake sales, aw at dream care at the car shows, watch parades, much on deep fried peach pie and peach cheesecake, and enjoy multiple art and craft shows!
You can visit the Frontier Town Craft Show (Frontier Town is located at 67300 Van Dyke) or the Artistic Reflections 26th Annual Fine Arts & Crafts show at the Amanda Moore School & Field (located at 209 Dickenson in Romeo)
As with all great Peach Fests, you can enjoy a midway, games, beer and food tents, and take home fresh peach pies. Just don’t forget the craft shows. :)
Santa’s Craft Castle
Eisenhower High School in Shelby Township puts on a great juried Holiday Arts & Crafts show. For 30 years now, they have hosted their Santa’s Craft Castle, and for 30 years running, over 100 vendors show off their handmade gift items. This show is right before Thanksgiving, making a perfect time to get those gifts for the holiday season situated so you’re not scrambling for gifts the days before!

Parcelle Middle School Holiday Bazaar Craft Show
Located in Grosse Pointe, this craft show has been a GP staple for years! There will be a huge juried craft show on December 7th – $3 a person to get in. Check out Parcells Bazaar Facebook page for more information.
Detroit Urban Craft Fair
The Detroit Urban Craft Fair will be hosted at the Masonic Temple in Detroit from December 7th-8th. This annual show will be turning 8 this year, and will be celebrating with over 100 vendors throughout the Detroit metro area.
This show was created to raise handmade unique goods up over mass produced items for the holiday season, you should show local vendors for holiday gifts!!

“The Christmas Wonderfest is modeled upon traditional European Christmas Markets. All across the world people come together in this glorious season to enjoy seasonal specialties, shop and to enjoy each others company. The Wonderfest is designed to be a uniquely Michigan version of this international phenomenon.”
Sounds great, right? Here you can enjoy the Small Business area, the MotorCity Marketplace, and a Made in Michigan section along with everything else you could want in an event like this… Santa, family fun, and good food.
Some of the well known vendors this year are Good People’s Popcorn, Canterbury Village, Michigan-Artisans, Pewabic Pottery, and Art is in Market!
